RGT was originally founded in 1970 by Blacksmith Reg Hill who began his working career in the late 1940’s making products using traditional blacksmiths techniques. The business is now family run by his son Gary and grandson Chris. Gary became MD in 2000 when Reg retired from the company and went on to establish another successful business. Throughout the years ,RGT has made excellent progress in establishing itself as a strong competitor in its core market centred around commercial vehicle coach building activities.
From the initial founding of the business right through to present day, RGT has continually embraced the use of new technology and uses the latest, efficient manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines and turning centers, fiber lasers, CNC press brakes, conventional presses (up to 250 tons), TIG , MIG and pulse MIG welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
